During this intense rain, on what confidence, did You make me leave my home? All flowers have withered away, only thorns remain lying. My floral garden has lost its fragrance. Into my dried up mental river why did You flow an upstream current? Please tell me. The festival of light moved far away, darkness wrapped up my all. Into this snatched life of mine, into my void vitality, why did You pour new light? Please tell me.

1. Mere Gurudev, charanon par sumana shraddha ke arpita hai Tere hee dena hai jo hai. Wahi tujha ko samarapita hai My Gurudev I offer these flowers of my faith at your feet Whatever I have, you have given to me, and I dedicate it all to you. 2. Na priti hai pratiti hai, na hi puja ki shakti hai Meraa yaha man, meraa yaha tan, meraa kan kan samarapita hai I have no love, nor do I know you. I don't even have the strength to worship you, But this mind of mine, this body of mine, my every atom is dedicated to you. Tuma hee ho bhaava men mere, vicharon mein, pukaron mein. Banaale yantra ab mujhko mere saravatra samarapita hai You are the only one in my heart and my thoughts. You are the one who I call out to. Now Make me your instrument…all I am I offer to you

We offer this Album at the Lotus Feet of our beloved Master
Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji

Baba Nam Kevalam
Baba means "my most beloved One", Nam means "name of" or "to identify with", and Kevalam means "only". So the meaning of the mantra is "My most Beloved is the only One." The ideation is: "Everywhere I look, in everything I hear, feel, see, taste and smell, I perceive that one Supreme Consciousness which pervades all things."

Kiirtan is the singing of a mantra aloud while ideating on the Supreme Being. It inculcates the feeling of bliss and prepares the mind for meditation, because in performing it all the motor and sensory organs are engaged and directed towards the Supreme. It can be done anywhere, any time, but the best time is just before meditation.
Chanting the mantra out loud before meditation is called "kiirtan." It is extremely beneficial and makes meditation much easier. Its a sort of a halfway step. The mind stays focused only on the mantra, but all the senses are not focused inwardly--we are still singing and listening. It helps slow breathing (through singing), helps fix the mantra in the mind, and on a subtler level, raises the vibration in the room.
